Zumba KIDS is a follow along dance fitness class full of fun, high energy dances set to music from around the world! Kids can be picked up and dropped back off in the kids zone! Just sign them up for ZK and they will get a work out in while you do too!

Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga

Ages: Newborn to Nearly Crawling

Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga classes contains dozens of unique yoga postures designed to support baby’s development. Each class is filled with calming, nurturing ways to enhance bonding.

During a Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga class, babies enjoy yoga while on their backs, tummies, or held in loving arms. For parents, this class is a special opportunity to meet other moms, get support, and learn about baby's emerging personality. Most of the yoga we do in Itsy Bitsy Yoga is for baby, but you will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques.  A few mommy and me poses are offered throughout the session.  No yoga is experience required.  55 minute class Download Registration Here

Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga

Ages: Crawling to 24 Months

Itsy Bitsy Yoga for Tots is a supportive, fun-loving, and active yoga class. As tot’s mobility increases, classes offer tot-centric poses that encourage and support their physical explorations. Tots become more confident in their moving bodies as they practice yoga both in and out of class.
During a Tots Itsy Bitsy Yoga class crawlers and walkers playfully practice yoga postures while they are standing, sitting up, walking, and jumping. Some traditional poses are incorporated into the class for the adult.   NO yoga experience is required. 45 minute class Download Registration Here

Tykes Itsy Bitsy Yoga

Ages: 21 Months through 4 Years

Tykes Itsy Bitsy Yoga combines unique toddler-friendly yoga poses with songs, stories, and games to create an enriching parent/child activity. Each class is personalized around tyke’s curiosities as they learn yoga through social interaction, repetition, and play. Tykes also learn how to relieve frustration, improve motor skills, and increase attention span by actively following directions. Junior Fitness Certification

Designed for children between the ages of 12-15. The purpose of the program is to teach basic aerobic and resistance training principles and address proper exercise etiquette. Sessions consist of both classroom and hands-on training that will get kids ready to be on the fitness floor and cardio equipment. Safety, nutrition, how to use equipment properly, and just some of the topics covered in this comprehensive course. Once the Junior Fitness Certification is completed, participants will be certified to use all the equipment in the club (excluding free weights) and will be allowed to workout without a parent present. Cost is $199.

Wee Sports

Looking for someplace to take your child to burn that energy off? Wee Sport is a 1 hour program that will do just that. We will be doing all kinds of childhood games like tag, red light green light, using bean bags, balls and having lots of fun. We will offer a snack each day and at the end send them home worn out! American Girl Doll Book Club

Does your daughter enjoy American Girl dolls and their stories? Here is the perfect chance for her to share that enjoyment with other children her age (ages 7-12)! Join us the third Friday night of each month for our American Girl Doll Book Club. Each meeting we will talk about that month's book as well as a book for the upcoming month, eat pizza, play games, do crafts and special activities.

Speed and Agility Program

The speed and agility program is designed to instruct student athletes ages 8 and up in proper sprint techniques, agility development, and overall athleticism. This program is a great way to get in shape and improve conditioning for the upcoming sports season. Athletes of all experience levels are welcome. Program runs 6 weeks (12 sessions). For an additional $100, an 8-week resistance training will be provided for athletes and aspiring athletes ages 8 and up. Classes held in the gymnasium.

  • $169/Members and $209/Non-Members
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Tumble Bears

Toddlers 18 months to 36 months and a parent or caregiver. It provides a wide variety of opportunities for your child to develop social skills, physical abilities, language skills and self esteem. It also gives parents a wonderful opportunity to have some special one-on-one time with their little ones in a stimulating and nurturing environment! Ages 18 months - 3yrs.

Tumbling

Strength training, flexibility and tumbling, focusing on cartwheels, round-offs,back bends, and handsprings. Ideal for cheer leading. Ages 7-9 yrs.

Mondays 7:00-8:00 pm
Ages 11+ yrs. 8 Students Max Per Class.
Advanced level strength training, flexibility, with the focus on round offs, back handsprings, back tucks and combination tumbling. Ideal for cheerleading.

Tuesdays 6:00-7:00 pm
8-10 yrs. 8 Students Max Per Class.
Intermediate/Advanced level strength training, flexibility, with the focus on round offs, back handsprings, back tucks and combination tumbling. Ideal for cheerleading.

Wednesdays 5:30-6:15 pm
Ages 7-10 yrs. 8 Students Max Per Class.
Strength training, flexibility and tumbling , focusing on cartwheels, round off, back bends and back handsprings.

Kid Fit at Merritt

Kid Fit is an on-going program, a fast-paced, informative exercise class which includes basic strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, agility and speed work, weight management, and nutrition. Kid Fit will help your 7-12 year old increase his/her overall fitness or they can use the sessions to support their sport specific training.
