Training Philosophy:
Upon completion of my degree in Exercise and Sport Science, I decided to
make my health and wellness a priority. I successfully lost 75 pounds in pursuit
of furthering her career in the exercise field. Lots of times our health and
wellness is left on the “backburner” of our lives. It’s time that we make our health
and well-being a priority again. It’s not just the physical aspect of exercise that
will make a difference in your life, but it is the emotional and mental aspect as well. Many times, someone’s goals are more in
depth than they imagined. It’s not just weight loss, it’s not just to feel better, it’s far deeper than that. Once we can figure out all
the why’s, if’s, no’s and’s and but’s, we are well on our way to achieving success in our lives. I am looking forward to making a
difference in those around me and look forward to having the opportunity to motivate you to obtain your goals.
What Her Client's Say...
“It has been my pleasure to work with Kristi Jenness as my personal trainer. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable of physical
fitness and its mechanics, but she’s also an extremely conscientious, thoughtful, and innovative person. I have been afflicted with a
debilitating vascular condition that leaves me weak and syncopal. She uses her knowledge of physical fitness and her awareness
of my physical limitations to strategize and design a program to meet our fitness goals. She observes and notes my limitations
and minimizes the effects by adjusting her program to work around my limitations while maintaining goal acquisition. She explains
what we’re doing and why. She also explains how it works and helps me to incorporate the exercises into my daily activities. She
makes efforts above and beyond what is expected, and she is an extremely good-natured and caring person. Although I have a
very long way to go, I have been noticing improvements in my health, and I am very appreciative of her for that.” -Rose Rodrigez
“For years I lived my life quoting how happy and fat I was. I would eat what I wanted and not worry about exercise. I managed to
gain weight year-over-year, steadily growing from a size 6 in high school at 124 lbs to a Size 22 at 244 lbs. Kristie shared with me
what led her to become a Personal Trainer and I was encouraged to learn that she was nothing like what I feared. My vision of a
personal trainer was a ‘Juicehead Gorilla’ massive bodybuilder type who would definitely make me feel intimidated, or (even worse)
some sort of ‘Barbie Doll’ who’d never in her life had to work for it. Kristie understood where I was coming from; and her confidence
in my ability to succeed made me believe it to. I signed-up immediately to start training with Kristie twice a week.
Kristie is motivating and always finds a way to keep it interesting. She regularly challenges me. For example, she’ll say, “Let’s do 12
to 15,” knowing I’m going to want to do 15. Kristie has made me feel like nothing is out of the question. Prior to working with her, I
seriously HATED running. A month ago, I ran a mile for the first time in my life and since then I have started enjoying treadmill
Even beyond our training sessions Kristie has influenced me. I am at the gym 5 or 6 days a week. As strange as it seems, I’ve
learned to love working out. To date, with the help of Kristie’s knowledge, skill, encouragement, and support I have
lost close to 50 lbs, weighing in at 196. I’m more than halfway to my goal of getting back to my wedding
weight. I feel better, I have more energy, I’m in better health and I receive compliments daily from friends,
family, and coworkers. I loaded my BMI online the other day and for the first time I can remember it
didn’t tell me I’m obese. I still have a way to go, but I will continue to work with Kristie and I expect
maybe I’ll even surprise myself and exceed my own expectations.” -Heather Saylor
