I love being a personal trainer! I have an absolute and unwavering belief that through exercise and sound nutrition we can have a tremendous impact on our health and fitness.
I provide my clients with the knowledge, support, and care that they need to ensure success. We start with a fitness assessment. Discuss current exercise and dietary habits including strategies for making changes and coping with obstacles. We create cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility programs that are tailored to suit individual fitness levels and personal goals. I believe in a functional, outcome based approach towards fitness that's never boring. From basic exercises to TRX, ropes, tires, and sledgehammers we're making changes that last a lifetime.
Whatever your needs (weight loss, improved fitness and strength, or if you're just tired of the same old routine) I can help you achieve your goals. From one on one to small group or bootcamps, there's something for everyone!

I started 2011 with a dread of entering a new decade of my life, telling myself my 'problem areas' were because of age and nothing could be done about it. I also thought I was in good physical condition, able to run a few miles at a time with relative ease but never venturing into the weight rooms at the gym. When I began personal training with Karen, she custom designed workout routines that quickly reminded me of muscle groups I hadn't used in years, incorporating exercises that toned those problem areas without using the big weight machines. These workouts were realistically challenging and FUN! Karen also gave nutritional advice that was easy to integrate into my busy schedule. Subtle changes were noticed; I felt more refreshed, had better posture, and actually wanted to wear clothes that showed off my arms!
