Sports and More Camp A multi sports camp for both boys and girls ages 7-14.
This summer, join Merritt's Sports and More Day Camp where you'll have fun indoors and out learning and playing. This multi-sport program is professionally developed for area youth. Programs include soccer, lacross, ultimate frisbee, punt/pass/kick, flag football, juggling, swimming, and more! One day each week swim time will take place in the Family Fun Pool. Member pricing - Full Day Camp $199, Half Day $119. Daily Full Day - $40, Half Day - $30. Non-Member pricing - Full Day Camp $239, Half Day $149. Daily Full Day $60, Half Day $50.

Karate Kid Camp. For ages 5-12.
This is an explosive full-day camp where your 5-12 year old can explore their curiosity about martial arts and learn the techniques that will make them just like their favorite action heroes! Along with learning this information, they will learn about discipline and respect for themselves and others. Kids will also get the chance to expend more energy in one day than the average child uses in one week of gym class. We will do coordination drills, games, martial arts practice, arts and crafts, swimming, gymnasium sports, and a demonstration of skills, Campers will receive a Pan-American Tang Soo Do Federation uniform and instruction from Master Hyson who has over a decade of teaching experience. Members $199 per session. Non-Members $239 per session.

Creative Dramatics For children 5-8 years of age.
Bring out the actor in your family! Creative Dramatic class will offer an opportunity for your child's dramatic talent to bloom! Children will be practicing a fairy tale or folk tale play during the session as well as creating crafts that tie in with the theme of the play. Parents are invited to watch the play during the last class. Members $80. Non-Members $105.

Wee Sports Summer Camp. For ages 3-5.
Does your child need a place to burn off energy? Wee Sport is a one hour program that will do just that! Games include tag, red light green light, bean bags, balls, etc. Wee Sport will allow your child to burn energy in a safe environment while learning foundations like playing with others, taking turns, and having FUN! Members $75. Non-Members $95.

American Girl Doll Camp. For ages 5-12.
Come for a wonderful experience exploring the lives of the American Girl Dolls! Each day we will visit a differnt doll and the time period in which she lived. The campers will make different crafts, eat snacks, and enjoy stories pertaining to the time period of the day. American Girl Dolls are not needed to attend camp...your favorite doll will do! Game Crazy Camp. For children ages 7 and up.

Junior Lifeguard Camp. For children ages 7-14.
Junior Lifeguard Camp is designed to teach children ages 7-14 the basic rules of water rescue and aquatic safety. Lifesaving techniques will be covered and practiced. Role play will include rescues not only in a pool setting, but also survival techniques for open water scenarios. Other topics include lifeguard stride jump, back boarding, spinal injury prevention, heat exhaustion, sun skin care, and first aid. Pool water chemistry will also be covered and campers will have the opportunity to test the pool to learn the effects of chlorine and PH on swimmers. Members $119. Non-Members $149. Splash & Swim Camp. For boys and girls ages 6-14.
The first half of the day will be spent splashing in Merritt's new Family Fun Pool as campers enjoy playing games, participating in scavenger hunts, splashing in the spray ground, and coasting in the lazy river before the pool opens at noon for members and guests. Full day campers will spend the afternoon taking swimming lessons, then practicing and refining their swimming skills. Safe diving techniques will be taught in the deep end of the LAP pool, along with fun competition playing canonball splash. Full Day Members $239, Non-Members $259. Super Hero Camp. For super heroes ages 4-7.
Become a Super Hero with this exciting themed camp! Campers will participate in relays, obstacle courses, games, and climb across our rock wall. Crafts and snack time will also be offered. Irish Dance Camp/Workshop. Campers ages 6-10 will enjoy crafts, games, and instruction on traditional Irish dance moves. This camp will introduce basic steps to classic Irish music. Members $100. Non-Members $120.

Musical Theater Camp. Campers will learn musical theater dance styles such as tap, jazz, and ballet, and practice acting and singing. Improvisations, stage direction, and facial expressions will be put into practice. This is the perfect camp for children ages 8-12 do learn about what happens behind the scenes in musical theater and to do it all in a fun atmosphere. Members $120. Non-Members $150.

Summer Intensive Dance Study. Students wil participate in daily technique classes in ballet, tap, hip hop, and modern dance. This camp is designed for the serious dance student ages 10 and older. Dancers should be prepared to study the principles of dance and gain an understanding of placement, technique, and style. Other classes and activities throughout the week include yoga/Pilates, choreography, nutrition, and more. Members $120. Non-Members $150.

Masterpiece Art Camp. The Merritt Masterpiece Art Studio Program encourages participation from all interested students regardless of their background or prior knowledge about art. The program emphasizes individual expression while teaching new skills, ideas, and techniques. Overall curriculum focuses on art production, criticism, appreciation, aesthetics, expression, and history. Young Artists - ages 5-8. Master Artists - ages 9-13. Members $199. Non-Members $225.

Imagination Sensation Camp. A creative expression camp for children ages 5-12.
Children will express their creativity as they sculpt, mold, photograph, and more. They will experiment with designs and let their imaginations soar. Campers produce one-of-a-kind works of art featuring a broad range of media, capturing it all in an authentic scrapbook. The only limitation is how far the imagination can go. Walk the Runway Camp. For ages 7 (going into 2nd grade) through 12.
Design and model your own fashion designs. Kids will have the opportunity to create, make, and wear an entire outfit with accessories! Yoga, stretching, and light dancing will also take place daily to prepare for the final runway show on Friday. Snack is provided. Camp price includes supply fees. There will be rest time with a movie, so please send a small pillow and blanket with your camper. Members $190, Non-Members $240.

Junior Lifeguard Camp. For children ages 7-12.
Junior Lifeguard Camp is designed to teach children ages 7-12 the basic rules of water rescue and aquatic safety. Campers will be taught water safety rules, basic boating safety, and basic skills to help a distressed swimmer. Swimming skills will also be taught and practiced as part of the camp. Other topics include aquatic safety rules, the buddy system, the role of a lifeguard, and safety equipment used by lifeguards. Members $115 half day, $200 full day. Non-Members $165 half day, $260 full day.

Bare Hills Summer Squash Camps. For skill levels 1-5 and Elite.
Each week the squash camps focus on many different aspects of the game such as conditioning, drills, fitness, strength, psychology of the game, technique, movement, footwork, balance, positioning, and match play. If you want to learn how to become a better squash player, join us for our Summer 2010 series. Be prepared to work hard and have the most fun you have ever experience, both on and off the court!
